Shakespeare Festival
By Christy Box, Grade 10

Do you want to be a part of the biggest Shakespeare event in Florida Virtual School history? Then come on down to the 2011 Shakespeare Festival!

We’ll have presentations, plays, and plenty of fun for everyone - no matter how much you like Shakespeare.

This year’s festival will be held in the same platform as WorldFest and the Virtual Open House instead of in Elluminate as in previous years.

Ambassadors, staff, and guest speakers are hard at work getting all of the presentations ready.

You’ll hear original plays based on Shakespeare’s works, details of his life and works, and his influences on modern life, just to name a few.

How would you like to see a murder mystery based on “Macbeth”? Or a modern-day “Romeo and Juliet”? Or maybe even a prequel to “Romeo and Juliet”? Even if these don’t appeal to you, you’ll be sure to find something you’ll love.

The Shakespeare Festival will premiere April 26th and continue through April 27th.

Be sure to come and check out one of the most awesome events this year! We hope you all attend the 2011 FLVS Shakespeare Festival.
